The goal of the US&R Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) Specialist (HMS) Instructor-Led Training (ILT) course is to provide the Task Force (TF) with hazmat personnel who have the knowledge, skills, and abilities to safely and effectively support search and rescue operations in a contaminated environment in one of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Urban Search and Rescue (US&R) Task Forces. This is a 3 day course.
