Hazmat Specialist WMD

Service Description

This 16 hour course teaches CSTI certified Hazmat Specialists to respond safely and effectively to events involving chemical, biological, radiological/nuclear, and explosive (CBRNE) materials. This course addresses collecting and using intelligence in planning, response, and recovery; recognizing and responding to the release of chemical agents; engaging in rescue and rapid extrication of victims; conducting decontamination; providing assistance and medical support to victims of a CBRNE event; recognizing and responding to the use of biological agents; recognizing and responding to the deployment of radiological dispersal devices; and recognizing and responding to the detonation of explosives devices.  Sampling techniques and WMD instrumentation will also be covered.
